3rd at Fronton

When The Fronton Pro started,my main focus was to win the World Title , I knew I needed a good result,at least a 3 rd place and it was still depending of Jeff Hubbard s result.
Lorsque le Fronton Pro a débuté,mon principal objectif était de remporter le titre mondial,je savais que j avais besoin d un bon résultat,au moins une 3ème place mais tout dépendait du résultat de Jeff Hubbard.

So I was very amped and focus on going how far as possible without thinking too much about the world title,I tried to surf heat by heat,this contest was the hardest of the year and I had very difficult heats in the leaderboard rounds,I was very happy to qualified into the man on man round , the first step was done.
Donc j étais très motivé et focus d aller le plus loin possible sans trop penser au titre,j ai éssayé de sufer série par série,cette compétition était la plus difficile de l année et j ai eu des séries très difficiles lors des tours du Leaderboard,j été très content de me qualifier au tour man on man, c était le premier pas.

When Jason Finlay defeated Jeff Hubbard, It was at this moment I understood I had the power in my hands,I had an opportunity I could t miss,Jason Finlay helped me a lot beating Jeff in order to win the World Title,I was very happy he won the contest also,this guy is such a good bodyboarder and a very good person too, I have a lot of respect for him and I will be always thankful for what he did,pretty much giving me the key of my destiny.
Quand Jason Finlay a battu Jeff Hubbard,ce fut le moment ou j ai compris que j avais le pouvoir entre mes mains,j avais une opportunité a ne pas manquer,Jason Finay m a rendu un grand service pour ma course au titre,J étais très heureux qu il remporte la compétition,c est un bodyboarder tellement fort et une personne en or,j ai beaucoup de respect pour lui et je lui serai reconnaissant a vie pour ce qu il a fait : me donner les clefs de mon destin.

The heat with Eliot Morales from canaries was so hard, he was the favorite of the crowd and he s also one of the best at Fronton,he knows that wave so well and beating him was an other big step made.But it was far to be over for me if I wanted to get the title,I was seeded against Jared Houston in my quarter final,the guy who surfed the best so far in the event,I was very nervous but I just told myself to surf this heat like if it was any other.Jared is able to do everything on the wave and I knew I would need big score to beat him,I was lucky to get that bomb and score a 9,I knew I won the title after this wave.
La série contre le canarien Eliot Morales était très difficile,c était le favori du public et c est aussi l un des meilleurs au Fronton,il connait sa vague tellement bien et le battre fut encore un grand pas de fait.Mais c était loin de suffire pour gagner le titre,j étais contre Jared Houston en quart de finale,celui qui a le mieux surfé cette compétition,j étais très nerveux mais je me suis dis qu il fallait aborder cette série comme n importe quelle autre série,Jared est capable de tout faire sur une vague et je savais que j aurais besoin de gros scores pour le battre,j ai eu de la chance de scorer une bombe et obtenir 9,j ai su que j avais gagné a ce moment la.

In my semi, against Mitch Rawlins I have to say I lost a lot of motivation,all the pression I had went down after the quarters and was hard to maintain my focus,I lost this heat but I was happy to see Mitch reaching the final for his birthday,him too helped me by beating Ryan Hardy,the two guys who beat the others contenders reached in the Final ,what a scenario!
Dans ma série contre Mitch Rawlins,je dois dire que j ai perdu beaucoup de motivation,toute la pression que j avais était redescendu et c était difficile de rester focus,j ai perdu cette série mais j étais content de voir Mitch allait en finale pour son anniversaire,lui aussi m a aidé en battant Ryan Hardy,les deux gars en finale furent ceux qui ont battu les autres prétendant au titre,quel scénario!

I m very happy with that 3 rd place,making a top 4 in waves and conditions like this makes it even more special,I think this contest resume where bodyboarding is at today,it was was an historic event and winning the world title there was the biggest achievement of my career
Je suis très heureux de cette troisième place,finir dans le top 4 dans des vagues et conditions comme ca rend tout encore plus spécial,je pense que cette compétition a résumé ou en est le bodyboard aujourd hui,ce fut un évènement historique et gagner le titre mondial la bas est certainement le plus grand exploit de ma carrière.
